It’s not normal being Justin Bieber -- and not only when a woman accuses him of fathering her child. Snow Mantra
Fans write death threats aimed at his girlfriend, Selena Gomez, and storm barricades near his hotels.
He inspires a level of hysteria in young women that no one since The Beatles has experienced -- and at least there were four of them.
But Bieber, a die-hard “Spider-Man” fan, has adopted Peter Parker’s mantra: “With great power comes great responsibility.”Belstaff
“We always talk about Spider-Man, and he kind of takes that to heart,” his longtime manager, Scooter Braun, told The Post. “He really fights to be normal.”
That fight, however, is a losing battle.
On a recent tour in Chile, thousands of rabid fans tore down the hotel barricades before Bieber arrived, according to Braun.
In Argentina, fans rolled underneath the barricades to get closer to the ”Never Say Never” singer.
Back in the US, “there was one mom who ran up to a car and we were running late and she started literally slamming on the window, saying, ‘You need to get your ass out now and take pictures with us!’ ” recalled Braun.
“There were hundreds of other kids. It wasn’t safe for him to get out of the car. She was literally pushing kids out of the way.”
Last week, Bieber fan Mariah Yeater claimed that the pop star’s entourage helped pick her out at a concert and that they had unprotected sex backstage.
“It didn’t really faze him,” said Braun. “He said he’d never met the girl.”
Bieber can barely keep up with all the rumors about him, Braun added, “He’s been dead I think four or five times.”
But feeling like a constant target has transformed the pop star from a happy-go-lucky kid to a young man who often fears for his own safety.
“His best friends from home came to visit him,” recalled Braun, “and they’re out there skateboarding, and he’s watching them in his room like a puppy dog. He knew he couldn’t go outside.”
